Nathan McCann has a passion for crafting live and recorded worship moments that resonate deeply with the heart of the Church. Growing up playing saxophone in big-band jazz ensembles, Nathan was innately musical from a young age. After winning National Jazz Soloist of the year in Downbeat Magazine during high school, Nathan began to turn his attention towards serving on his church worship team. Within the span of a few short years, Nathan became a trusted worship leader and musical director, growing rapidly in his ability to craft impactful and intimate worship moments for the local church.

After high school, Nathan earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Production through the Berklee College of Music, honing in on his talents of songwriting, recording, production, mixing and instrumental performance. During his college years, Nathan worked with local Christian songwriters to produce worship demos and covers. He was also an integral part of the production of the “Songs for Sunday” live recording by VIVE Worship, through co-writing on the album, playing keys parts, and working in-studio on producing overdub recordings.

These days, Nathan’s main passion is providing high-quality, Spirit-led music production services to Christian artists and churches seeking to write and release music. He believes that when truth-filled, Spirit-breathed writing meets excellent production, songs that change lives through the truth of Jesus are born.

On any given Sunday, Nathan can be found singing, playing keys, acoustic guitar, bass, aux keys, organ, or sometimes saxophone for a number of local churches in the Bay Area. When he is not writing, playing, or producing music, Nathan enjoys reading theology books, making lattes for his friends, or taking long walks on nature trails in the Los Gatos Foothills.
